The aim of this project is to investigate the reciprocal interaction between cells and synthetic extracellular matrix materials, with an emphasis on the ageing material. This project is a collaboration with polymer chemists within IPM. The research will investigate molecular signalling pathways activated by artificially ageing synthetic matrices. The other way around, transgenic cell technology will be used to investigate the response of said matrices to senescence-related secretome changes.
