Bridging Dynamic Behavior of Dynamic Covalent Networks from the Molecular to the Material Level
The aim of this project is to study the influence of different microstructures on the dynamic mechanical and rheological properties in DCNs. To reach this goal, the microstructures of the polymer networks will be systematically varied and the dynamic mechanical and rheological properties will be determined. For example, systematically varying the microstructure of the DCNs will be done by varying the nature of the dynamic bonds, crosslink density, or polymer backbone.
In conclusion, a contribution will be made to being able to bridge the gap between the dynamic behavior of polymer systems on a molecular level to the macroscopic dynamic behavior on the material level.
